There is Fire in the House

Yeah and get the fire burning! Speaking of fire Pisay has a fire drill this coming July 13 courtesy of the Bureau of Fire Protection. A couple of people mailed to me these comments.

"Another boring fire drill"
"It should be my turn to hold the extinguisher!"
"Fire, let me see"
"Why are they called firemen when they do not like fire!"
"Who is Pisay Webmaster?"

The last comment is out of hand, many people are wondering who is the webmaster. According to sources, these are the most likely comments about the webmaster.

"I will punch that person whoever is he/she"
"Wow, very frank!"
"Wrong grammar, hahah"

And the most likely people to discuss the webmaster are third years. This is getting exciting...

Anyway these are the hardships you need to face in the First Quarter in all year levels.

1st Year: Significant Figures(Yes they are significant, they are very easy but you might not understand the teacher...who is your teacher anyway?)

2nd Year: Nothing really (I mean, you dismiss 5:00)

3rd Year: Physics Long Quizzes, Chemistry Memorizing(Not really a pain) and Biology Terms...

4th Year: Hurrah! Research

Pisay students, especially externs be careful...There is chaos going on below the mountain you are living. I mean it is too dangerous to go to the city. A bomb exploded in Iligan and it may just be an initial warning so be extra cautious. Just a piece of advice...

And for those of you who think I am an evil person sorry if I've mocked your ideas. It's like the whole school is not accepting that there is a blog to document such events that are happening. I do apologize for my writer's rash comments but they are doing their thing. Everytime i will post something i will signify if it is an opinion or not.

Yours Truly,

The Webmaster

The Foundation Day

Foundation Day

The 2 day event....you see everyone is damn tired. Many singing their lungs out and running till their muscles are worn out. You see i counted all the people whose throats were burned by the Cheering Competition. The games are hot and the leagues had their tools sharpened.

We had the four leagues, now we have the successors. The battle of physical mights and the tenfold talents of people who are discovered to have such talent. Four way battle has never been this so scorching hot.

League games are not the focus of the Foundation Day, duh. It is the foundation itself. Students forget the roots of the school that let the tree grow and bear fruit. The first alumni like Sir Jeff Pabalay and Dave Dingal, set out their mission in life but do not ever forget Pisay. Who could forget Pisay...the trials and everything. They were the pioneers of the whole thing.

The loyalty award is given to...them. Who knew they were so loyal. Ms. Cala, Sir Lariosa, Ms. Del Rosario, the like. The stories were so touching, Ms. Hazel Ruelan-Lagapa's story of the past. With the "Nasuya mo" line as told to the younger Pisay. The hardships before were so unimaginable, Ate Carren of the Pisay Alumni told the research with 5x more hardships as there was now. Today is so comfortable, you would not need to carry a printer a mountain away from your school...as compared to Ate Carren's experiences.

So much for the opening remarks and the motorcade before the whole thing. Then guess what...Games galore. We had the Pera o Bayong, which was not really the Pera o Bayong. The one who suggested the thing was not following the real common sense thing. Where is the bayong now it was only the "A", "B", "C", "D" illustration boards...come on SCS we know you can do better than that.

We also had the solo singing and the duet singing. People listen to the singers who do an excerpt of songs like "Cruisin", "The Climb", "Bring Me to Life", and 80's songs like "Kind of Hush" and "Build me Up Buttercup". The audience sing to every line of the song.

The next morning more games happened. Major games like Patintero and Volleyball were given with much energy from the players, and the cheer from their leagues. There were also old style parlor games which broke the ennui (I actually spelled this word at the Spelling Bee whoa!) out of the league members who do nothing.

The big deal came...The Pop Dance and also the ever so funny Pisay Wannabe entertained the crowd. One complaint about the wannabe compared to last year. It is not really a wannabe competition but a gay gala, They just dress to impress and not fit the real person they want to look-a-like. Hey come on! The title of this competition should be "Miss Gay Pisay 2009" Boys dressing up as girls do attract people but the title Pisay wannabe does not fit its name. They should have more serious Pisay Wannabes next year, Perhaps a real look-a-like of a famous person is the best performance (Arroyo and Obama anyone?).

Overall, the program was not half-bad. It was enjoyable but it could be better. I hope the SCS could try a new gameshow and not the repeated games. Try Singing Bee instead of the Spelling Bee or League Drama would not that be nice.

P.S. Results

1st Yellow
2nd Green
3rd Red
4th Blue

The gap between the 4th place and the 1st place is by 300+ Points. Blue (2400+) and Yellow (2700+), Red (2400+) and Green (2600+). The parlor games were not worth 100 points, they should have been worth 30 or 50 points.

The Sorting and the Upcoming Foundation Day

"Everything Comes and Goes"

When the graduates go away who is there to replace them in their leagues, the First Year students of course! The saying goes above...everything comes and goes...the only constant thing in the world is change. Most of us cried when the 4th years are gone and thank them for their wisdom. They're not geezers yet but lower years learned from their things and stuff.

Let us break the drama first, there was sorting last Friday and a couple of league games. I noticed that the relay games are getting much dull every year. Guess what they have on...folders. Maybe the SCS ran out of ideas. And again, Blue League won 1st in the league relay. The Green League won the Wanted Game. This are the rankings

1st Yellow
2nd Blue
3rd Red
4th Green

Uh-oh not a good start for the Green league, But they only have less than 100 points to beat Yellow which is a very small difference compared to the huge points given in the Student's Week and other minor league days.

About the Foundation Day, i do not know what will happen. It is a 2 Day Event, expect something that is not what is in the before years of Pisay.

I Cannot do It Without Some of You

Yes, the webmaster has not one, not two, but three affiliates. Wow i've got good writers here. Now the blog is improved hopefully. Gossip is a favorite thing to tackle, and that is what those three writers are e-mailing to me a while ago. Pisay is now a big institution yet undone but it is still good for learning but....

"2 sections are you kidding me!...you know the room was worse than a covalent bond...we are so close that everyone can just peek."

First impressions on the new Pisay background, so crowded yet so fun! I hope the first year students learn the life of a student, rock on second years! For the third years enjoy the vacant time but the lesson will have an unexpected twist in the last of first quarter..... Fourth year, no one can stop you from graduating so that is good. The third year is in the guillotine if you know what i mean.

Now, it seems as its useless to post every week...Pisay students are "busy" not to visit the Internet. The Internet is the ultimate social network and nothing else. Well that is OK i get good traffic...80 visitors per week.

Another thing in the Pisay Change is the teachers. Lucky you all, it would be easier to graduate with such good teachers in the 4th year level with spoiling pluses (Ms. Jen). Easier 2nd year mentors like Math teacher Ms. Ronna. Another add of headache for the third year...poor batch. But that is the challenge. Especially plus the CAT auditions(i cant think of any word than this).

Welcome to Philippine Science High School CMC Unofficial Blog

Hello visitors and Pisay CMC Students. Welcome to the PSHS-CMC Unofficial Blog! Unofficial in the thought of not being approved by the director. More than a half of Pisay-CMC Students have used the internet because of research and other purposes. This blog does not only post announcements prior to the school campus but also provides links that will help them in their research and assignments.

Many teachers in Philippine Science High School do not trust Wikipedia anymore because anyone can edit articles so we have links here that are not only trusted but also variously tested. I have seen many assignments of students in Pisay-CMC that depend on Wikipedia so i set-up this website for that reason, although you cannot always trust the Internet in Research.

Aside from tedious research, most Pisay Students love music. Those who don't love music are anti-social...and no Pisay Student is anti-social. I also put links on Music here and if someone requests a song, he/she can email me too at pisaycmc@yahoo.com.

Do you have stories of Pisay Life and Experience? You can e-mail them at pisaycmc@yahoo.com. If i can i will post Ilayin articles here if they want to, no one wants an empty blog! You can always comment here but you need to confirm yourself as a pisay student. This blog is not for announcements, Follow Pisay-CMC at Twitter to get announcements each week.

Comment Ethics:

No Flaming, Spamming and posting unwanted and bogus links here or else it will not be approved. All CAPS is not allowed when commenting or emailing at pshscmc@yahoo.com and rude comments will be traced. All senders of Bad Comments will have their IP traced and banned from the site forever.
