There is Fire in the House

Yeah and get the fire burning! Speaking of fire Pisay has a fire drill this coming July 13 courtesy of the Bureau of Fire Protection. A couple of people mailed to me these comments.

"Another boring fire drill"
"It should be my turn to hold the extinguisher!"
"Fire, let me see"
"Why are they called firemen when they do not like fire!"
"Who is Pisay Webmaster?"

The last comment is out of hand, many people are wondering who is the webmaster. According to sources, these are the most likely comments about the webmaster.

"I will punch that person whoever is he/she"
"Wow, very frank!"
"Wrong grammar, hahah"

And the most likely people to discuss the webmaster are third years. This is getting exciting...

Anyway these are the hardships you need to face in the First Quarter in all year levels.

1st Year: Significant Figures(Yes they are significant, they are very easy but you might not understand the teacher...who is your teacher anyway?)

2nd Year: Nothing really (I mean, you dismiss 5:00)

3rd Year: Physics Long Quizzes, Chemistry Memorizing(Not really a pain) and Biology Terms...

4th Year: Hurrah! Research

Pisay students, especially externs be careful...There is chaos going on below the mountain you are living. I mean it is too dangerous to go to the city. A bomb exploded in Iligan and it may just be an initial warning so be extra cautious. Just a piece of advice...

And for those of you who think I am an evil person sorry if I've mocked your ideas. It's like the whole school is not accepting that there is a blog to document such events that are happening. I do apologize for my writer's rash comments but they are doing their thing. Everytime i will post something i will signify if it is an opinion or not.

Yours Truly,

The Webmaster

The Foundation Day

Foundation Day

The 2 day event....you see everyone is damn tired. Many singing their lungs out and running till their muscles are worn out. You see i counted all the people whose throats were burned by the Cheering Competition. The games are hot and the leagues had their tools sharpened.

We had the four leagues, now we have the successors. The battle of physical mights and the tenfold talents of people who are discovered to have such talent. Four way battle has never been this so scorching hot.

League games are not the focus of the Foundation Day, duh. It is the foundation itself. Students forget the roots of the school that let the tree grow and bear fruit. The first alumni like Sir Jeff Pabalay and Dave Dingal, set out their mission in life but do not ever forget Pisay. Who could forget Pisay...the trials and everything. They were the pioneers of the whole thing.

The loyalty award is given to...them. Who knew they were so loyal. Ms. Cala, Sir Lariosa, Ms. Del Rosario, the like. The stories were so touching, Ms. Hazel Ruelan-Lagapa's story of the past. With the "Nasuya mo" line as told to the younger Pisay. The hardships before were so unimaginable, Ate Carren of the Pisay Alumni told the research with 5x more hardships as there was now. Today is so comfortable, you would not need to carry a printer a mountain away from your school...as compared to Ate Carren's experiences.

So much for the opening remarks and the motorcade before the whole thing. Then guess what...Games galore. We had the Pera o Bayong, which was not really the Pera o Bayong. The one who suggested the thing was not following the real common sense thing. Where is the bayong now it was only the "A", "B", "C", "D" illustration boards...come on SCS we know you can do better than that.

We also had the solo singing and the duet singing. People listen to the singers who do an excerpt of songs like "Cruisin", "The Climb", "Bring Me to Life", and 80's songs like "Kind of Hush" and "Build me Up Buttercup". The audience sing to every line of the song.

The next morning more games happened. Major games like Patintero and Volleyball were given with much energy from the players, and the cheer from their leagues. There were also old style parlor games which broke the ennui (I actually spelled this word at the Spelling Bee whoa!) out of the league members who do nothing.

The big deal came...The Pop Dance and also the ever so funny Pisay Wannabe entertained the crowd. One complaint about the wannabe compared to last year. It is not really a wannabe competition but a gay gala, They just dress to impress and not fit the real person they want to look-a-like. Hey come on! The title of this competition should be "Miss Gay Pisay 2009" Boys dressing up as girls do attract people but the title Pisay wannabe does not fit its name. They should have more serious Pisay Wannabes next year, Perhaps a real look-a-like of a famous person is the best performance (Arroyo and Obama anyone?).

Overall, the program was not half-bad. It was enjoyable but it could be better. I hope the SCS could try a new gameshow and not the repeated games. Try Singing Bee instead of the Spelling Bee or League Drama would not that be nice.

P.S. Results

1st Yellow
2nd Green
3rd Red
4th Blue

The gap between the 4th place and the 1st place is by 300+ Points. Blue (2400+) and Yellow (2700+), Red (2400+) and Green (2600+). The parlor games were not worth 100 points, they should have been worth 30 or 50 points.
